Technical Requirements

- Sound System Requirements
- FOH
- One industry standard FOH console that includes at least 24 input channels. Channel eqs should be at least 2 band parametric. Each channel should have at least 4 aux sends.
- One industry standard digital delay unit
- 2 industry standard reverb units
- One CD player
- Four channels of noise gates
- Eight channels of compression
- FOH Speakers
- The House PA must be a professional, state of the art sound system. Name brand manufacturers such as JBL, McCauley, EAW, Meyer are preferred.
- The system shall be an active three way system capable of producing a flat frequency response from 30hz to 20khz at an undistorted signal of 110db SPL to all areas of the venue.
- House speakers must be properly positioned and capable of producing a flat response to all areas of coverage.
- FOH Amps
- All house and front fill (if necessary) speakers are to be powered adequately and according to speaker and driver requirements. Acceptable power amplifiers are Crown, Crest, QSC, and Carver.
- Monitors
- Industry standard monitor console that includes 24 inputs and is capable of a minimum of six discrete monitor mixes (Nine monitor mixes is preferred)
- Minimum of six powered monitor mixes each with independent third octave eq
- Nine matching monitor wedges that can produce 110 db @ 3ft. A 15” with a 2” horn floor type monitor is preferred.
- All monitor speakers are to be powered adequately and according to speaker and driver requirements (See acceptable manufacturers above.)
- Staging
- Minimum stage required by Hit Explosion is 16x24
- Lighting
- All lighting should be on an independent power source from the audio system.
- The lighting should provide adequate illumination of the entire stage area
- All lighting should be interfaced with an industry standard lighting console and dimmers capable of dimming and or blacking out individual scenes
- Stage Power
- Stage power should be at least one twenty amp circuit independent from anything else. Power is required upstage left and upstage right.
